Submission window for August 2014 now open
La Noria Literary Journal will be accepting submissions of poetry, prose and art for its August 2014 edition from May 2 until July 27.
La Noria has no political bias to shill, no philosophical or critical stance to promote, no lofty academic aspirations to realize: We just love good literature, the Río Grande Valley, the Southwest, and Hispanic culture in general. We will publish any genre, any subject matter, any writer or artist at all…as long as the piece appeals to those simple guidelines.
Good literature and art with a cultural bent. Send it in.
Writers and artists interested should visit our submission site for guidelines and more.

Biennial Print Edition and Jan Seale Award
La Noria Literary Journal has made some adjustments to its publishing schedule. While we had originally intended to craft a print annual every January, we have opted instead to do a physical edition every two years, drawing on the best pieces from the previous six electronic editions.
The Jan Seale Award has also become a biennial prize.
These two will be issued for the first time in January 2015 at a special event.
